The Myoko Festival is the name given to the Apatani new year. This tribal group numbers about 25,000. As part of the festival the men and boys parade around the town in their clans carrying rattan leaves to their clan house. This baby is watching in all that is going on, helped by the feeling of security of being on his father's back.
